Softengi has Developed a Data Collection System for Zeppelin Ukraine

Softengi company has developed a system for consolidated data collection from various systems for “Zeppelin Ukraine”, the exclusive authorized dealer of world famous Caterpillar® company at the Ukrainian market.

The developed system of consolidated data collection contains information on each piece of equipment, served by “Zeppelin Ukraine”, collected from various data collection and reporting company systems.

Thus, “Zeppelin Ukraine” employees will work with a single system which contains data about each serviced unit location, its technical condition, information about its last maintenance, scheduled date of the next maintenance, etc., which will help the company faster and more efficiently serve customers in all regions of Ukraine.

Zeppelin Group operates 190 branches worldwide with around 7500 employees. “Zeppelin Ukraine” unites six branches nationwide, network of service centers, as well as spare parts trade centers. For customer service, the company used different systems for collecting data on the equipment location, its current state, operating hours, as well as maintenance analysis and reports.

Herewith, there were hundreds of units in operation throughout Ukraine, and employees had to manually check and collect information on each unit in various systems in order to obtain a complete and accurate picture of the current state of the equipment.

The solution, developed by Softengi professionals based on Microsoft SharePoint platform using ASP.Net and MS SQL Server, collects data from early used company systems based on Microsoft CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and 1C, in which employees are entering all equipment information.

The single data collection system will not only facilitate the work of “Zeppelin Ukraine” employees, eliminating the need to manually check all information in different systems, but will also allow timely to remind the customer about maintenance time, notify about problems of equipment operating “in the field ” and propose solutions to problems, preventing its damage and disruption.

The development of “Zeppelin Ukraine” system was conducted by popular Scrum methodology, when the customer at every stage of the project could make adjustments, had the opportunity to improve the system already in development process and constantly adjust the requirements which it must comply with Softengi team.

Thus, having at the starting stage only the idea and the list of requirements “Zeppelin Ukraine” system should conform, and constantly improving the system in progress, at the final stage the customer got the solution that fully complies with its expectations.
