RWE Gas Storage Delivered by Unicorn Systems Deploys a New Business System for Gas Storage Management
New Innogy (formerly RWE) Gas Storage system “GSN” delivered by Unicorn Systems is designed for complex management of business processes and technical procedures of the biggest virtual gas storage in central Europe.
Developers from Unicorn Systems completed this ambitious project in twelve months. Lancelot GSN runs in the 24/7 mode in Amazon’s cloud environment (AWS) with guaranteed 99.8% availability.
Lancelot GSN contains modules such as: CRM, nomination and communication module, notification services, reporting, user forecasting and system predictions module, technical situation monitoring and overview, balancing and invoicing instruments, and a modern customer web portal. Lancelot GSN is fully integrated with third-party systems (such as OTE, NET4GAS TSOs, SCADA, GIE/ACER).
The previous version of Lancelot GSN was originally deployed at RWE Gas Storage 8 years ago. This year, the system underwent a major change reflecting recent market and industry development. The system is built on brand new Lancelot EDM core – the leading technology in Energy Data Management (EDM).
The ambitious project started 12 months ago with requirements analysis, followed by detailed analysis, implementation, testing, and data migration. Lancelot GSN now plays a key role for commercial dispatchers controlling business processes of “Virtual Gas Storage”, technical dispatchers monitoring aggregated technical flows to physical underground gas storages and for sales department managing their relationship with customers.
