Nearshoring vs. Onshoring

Start: May 22, 2012 4:00 pm
In November 2011 Intellias, one of the leading Ukrainian providers of nearshore software development services in D-A-CH region, was the first outsourcing company on the Ukrainian market to conduct a survey for German, Swiss and Austrian nearshore outsourcing buyers. The survey captured the opinions of software and web development companies’ executives as well as heads of IT departments in non-IT businesses for preferred shoring models and plans for outsourcing cooperation. In particular, it aimed to compare the preferred outsourcing scenarios: nearshoring and onshoring together with identifying the reasons for cooperation with local freelancers and remaining the development inhouse. Having analyzed the key findings received in Nearshore IT Outsourcing survey, Intellias is planning to conduct “Nearshoring vs. Onshoring” webinar for (potential) nearshore/onshore service buyers. The webinar will be held on May 22 at 16:00 (CET) and will cover the following topics:
  • choosing a provider: is the location important?
  • role of the buyer network in the search for an outsourcing provider;
  • risks for nearshore and onshore outsourcing: why alike?
  • significance of onsite visits for outsourcing cooperation;
  • cooperation volume and an outsourcing service model: is there a correlation?
  • other decisive aspects, which emerge while selecting and starting a cooperation with a nearshore or onshore service provider.
The webinar will feature speakers from Intellias and German outsourcing consultancy CONINTEC, who will make 30 min total presentations of survey findings, which will be followed by a 15 min QA session. The webinar is going to be conducted in German. Register
