Lviv IT Event to Focus on International IT Issues, Invites Ukrainian Startups (Deadline: Sept. 1)

One the best IT events in the country, Lviv IT Arena 2016 will hold its third edition on September 30 – October 2 in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv (Lvov).

The conference will bring together more than 2,500 tech lovers from Ukraine and Eastern Europe.

Unlike the previous editions, this year the majority of speakers will represent western markets and businesses. The conference will be held in English.

Featured in the agenda will be the following streams:

  • ‘Product’ will cover such aspects of product development as service design, design thinking, and transition from IT service to software product company. Also discussed inthis stream will be enterprise analysis, quality assurance, project management trends, branding, and data visualization.
  • ‘Business’ will appeal to both small companies and industry leaders. Attendees will benefit from the opportunity to learn about unique products, startups, and outsourcing trends, as well as get advice from top-notch professionals.
  • ‘Technology’ will feature two parts: a discussion platform for IT professionals, and a series of workshops and bootcamps. These will cover the following topics: data science and artificial intelligence, mobile and wearables, large-scale systems, social networks and network-centric organizations, bioinformatics, smart robotics, autonomous vehicles, IoT, places, people, and services.

Also included in the agenda will be a startup competition, with the best Ukrainian startups pitching to a board of international investors. The contest targets young startups of no more than two years old with a demo version of their product. The application deadline to take part in the contest is September 1.

Among the expected speakers are the representatives of Microsoft, Clever Cloud and Deloitte Digital.

The event is being organized by Lviv IT Cluster, an association of IT firms operating in western Ukraine, in partnership with Ukraine Digital News.
