Innovecs Company Takes Part in Unique Automotive Software Development for a Global Leader in Manufacturing
It took just two months for Innovecs to complete the first development phase of unique automotive software for one of company’s client – a global leader in design, manufacturing, distribution and aftermarket services, headquartered in Singapore. Recently the software was introduced at the Automotive Show in Detroit.
A new multifunctional software for a car works on Tizen OS, developed by a community, the founders of which are Intel and Samsung.
The product uniqueness includes the voice control system and the possibility to start a car without a key by means of driver’s face recognition function. The software is integrated into a trip computer and performs many different functions.
As most system control commands are voice-activated, it allows a driver not to be distracted by dealing with car GPS touchscreen. The synchronization of onboard computer with owner’s calendar data and social networks is implemented. When working with a calendar, the car location and speed are considered, and navigation system gets driving directions.
A driver gets information about the route, speed and estimated time of arrival to the point of destination. The integration with social networks, like Facebook, for instance, functions as follows: the computer reproduces incoming messages, news, posts, and the driver replies with a help of voice commands, while driving without distracting.
Innovecs developers also integrated the function of peripherals control: rain and light sensors, engine temperature, oil-pressure sending unit, fuel-indicating system etc. One can keep track of their state by connecting the devices to the onboard computer. The settings of the latter can be used in any other car.
