GlobalLogic experts judge Golden Byte contest

On April 19, Golden Byte, an international IT talent competition, has finished in Kyiv.

Young engineering, design and communications professionals presented their projects within this competition.

There were ten sections in the challenge, such as Networking Technologies, Mobile Development, Game Design, Startup Сhallenge, Web Design etc.

GlobalLogic experts were in the jury.

Namely, Artem Mygaiev (Associate Vice President, Engineering, GlobalLogic) judged projects in Startup Сhallenge section, while Vladyslav Kurmaz (Consultant, GlobalLogic) was a jury member for Game Design section.

“I did not expect to see so many young Ukrainians ready to innovate and suggest original ideas,”

Artem Mygaiev commented.

“Moreover, they described ways to monetize these ideas. They were often quite realistic, it’s just thet some refinement is needed.”

Vladyslav Kurmaz, who has more than 10 years of experience in 3D development, evaluated game projects.

“I must admit that teams’ level is very high,”

he said.

“Many projects were implemented professionally both in terms of program realization and graphic / sound design. It is also important that the young developers work with professional instruments (Unity engine, for instance) and prepare impressive presentations. Furthermore, the contestants persist and upgrade their games each year. At least two projects included quite innovative game process, which is highly valuable in videogames industry.”

GlobalLogic is glad to support young talents, organizing IT training courses, as well as inviting students to trainee positions. Learn more here.
