Archer’s TOP 10 achievements in 2015
As the year 2015 passed, we would like to summarize our performance and present to you the TOP 10 achievements of our company:
On October 23-24, the Archer Software’s team, lead by CEO Alexey Tulin, took part in the international conference on business outsourcing and software development Outsource people 2015 in Kiev.
Our President Alexey Tulin was the speaker and with his presentation “Case of construction of expert in the Automotive and Healthcare” he shared our experience in this fields starting from the story of how we realized we needed to specialize in our company, how we attended several conferences on Healthcare, Automotive and the IoT to keep up with current trends.
In 2015 Archer finalized the partnership agreement that is highly important for the company. In a cooperation with National Mining University, we has started the process of selection and preparations of submission for the Horizon 2020 program.
It is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever, with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020). It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.
Archer Developer competed for the Diabetic Retinopathy Detection grant hoping to make contributions to science. The US Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 29.1 million people in the US have diabetes and the World Health Organization estimates that 347 million people have the disease worldwide.
Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is an eye disease associated with long-standing diabetes. Around 40% to 45% of Americans with diabetes have some stage of the disease. Progression to vision impairment can be slowed or averted if DR is detected in time, however this can be difficult as the disease often shows few symptoms until it is too late to provide effective treatment.
Archer Software acquired the basis for the development of prototype software – electric Nissan Leaf (aka Archer’s E-car) to deepen expertise in the Automotive field.
First of all, it is a sample of new technologies and best practices on the basis of examination of the electric Nissan Leaf. Archer Software provides the car to our developers “try your wings” (or rather, try a code) and launched few prototypes programs based on ideas brainstormed and selected via a bunch of meetings within the company and external community of interested engineers.
In 2015 a survey of 10 000 IT-specialists of Ukraine anonymously evaluated 631 companies. According to the results of their vote Archer Software is in the top 3 best IT-employers-2015 again (among companies with 80-200 people). Archer Software was the only company to stay in the top five from last year and earned the “bronze” – 3rd place.
The Dnepropetrovsk IT community (which includes the largest IT companies in Dnepropetrovsk region, including Archer) with the support of the largest industrial association IT Ukraine signed a bilateral memorandum of support and cooperation with the regional Dnipropetrovsk Administration, which is unprecedented among other regions of Ukraine and creates favorable conditions for further rapid development of the IT industry in the region.
At the end of each year most companies recap all they have accomlished over the previous 12 months. This was a full and effective year for our company. We made long strides in prototype-based development.
We bought an e-vehicle and held an open E-Car day in our office to come up with innovative new ideas to develop. And of course, we launched several apps for our prototype.
Nevertheless the success of the company cannot be measured simply by the events we participated in or apps we released. So we selected three indexes to determine whether the company operated successfully.
Archer’s largest and closest client, Smartling, also had a great year. Since we share some office space with them, we feel especially close and would like to celebrate some of their achievements over the past year.
In 2015 Smartling was named as one of the Top 10 B2B Companies in the New York Startup Index by Growth Score, excluding advertising technology (list of 100 in Mattermark). They came in at number 5 in list.
In February, Smartling was Selected by AlwaysOn as a 2015 OnCloud Top 100 Winner. This annual ranking recognizes the world’s top private companies that bring businesses and enterprises into the cloud.
In March Smartling Won Gold in 2015 Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service and was also the Named 2015 MITX Award Winner. All this lead to the announcement that Smartling Reported their Best Quarter in the Companies History.
In November 2015, Smartling announced that it placed Number 132 on Deloitte’s 2015 Technology Fast 500™, an annual ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and energy tech companies in North America.
In December Smartling was Named to EContent 100 List of the Companies that Matter the Most in Digital. We are proud to be key partner to such an amazing company for the past 8 years and have been able to witness its many achievements.
In 2015 Archer arranged the CrossFit tournament, which was attended by several IT companies in Dnipropetrovsk.
In 2015 we launched a new offering from our company – Fintech. This not only means new projects and customers, but also a lot of work to broaden our expertize in this area.
We already have a successful financial project – the virtual bank Bankaroo, but this is just the first step. The total value of investment in Fintech globally has reached approximately 6.8 billion U.S. dollars.
Now we are starting our own development and integration with tools in cryptocurrency, permissionless cryptography, m-wallets and others.
