Unicorn Systems and TSCNET Services GmbH Have Introduced an Application Automating the Cost Sharing
Unicorn Systems, a.s. and its client TSCNET Services GmbH, based in Munich, Germany, have introduced an application automating the cost sharing of MRAs (Multilateral Remedial Actions) among the participating TSOs (Transmission System Operators) in the European electricity grid.
MRAs are used by the 13 TSOs from ten European countries that form the TSO Security Cooperation (TSC) as a measure of last resort to solve internal security violations after all internal and bilateral remedial actions had been exhausted. TSCNET is the service company of the TSC TSOs.
All involved TSOs agree during the day-ahead or intraday congestion forecast process on the amount and type of remedial actions needed, in order to ensure grid security. The new MRA Tool was developed by Unicorn and serves TSCNET during the post processing phase of MRAs to perform the cost sharing calculation using a complex calculation algorithm in an automated way.
“The MRA Tool dramatically reduces the risk of human errors during manual calculation and provides a transparent view on the process results for all TSC TSOs. It tremendously reduces manual workload on TSCNET side and also ensures proper data usage of TSC customers,”
said Marlene Petz, Data Quality Manager at TSCNET.
Currently Unicorn Systems is working on the extension of „MRA Tool“ functionalities to support the process of claims settlement and much more.
