GlobalLogic encourages youth to engage in IT

Talented schoolchildren and students are the ones who will soon be able to revolutionize science and engineering and brighten lives of millions of people. This is why GlobalLogic supports young scientists and engineers.

For example, the company became a sponsor of Intel Techno Ukraine competition. On October 27, the first national stage of this competition was held. 151 scientific works in physics, astronomy, mathematics, engineering, IT and energetics were submitted for the finals of Intel Техно Ukraine 2014-2015. Eventually, three participants became the winners. In May 2015 they will represent Ukraine at the international final competition in the USA.

We firmly believe that it is necessary to develop young talents straight from school. We are actively engaged in this process by supporting various intellectual competitions, including Intel Techno Ukraine”,

– said Volodymyr Sharov, VP and Managing Director, GlobalLogic Ukraine.

GlobalLogic provided a special award for one of the participants – Andriy Vikulov, a student of school № 286, for his project “Assessment of agricultural areas based on satellite data”. The award was bestowed by Oleksandr Oriekhov (People Development, GlobalLogic).

GlobalLogic has also supported the final stage of the All-Ukrainian Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM-ICPC 2014 competition’s semi-final). As a result of this contest, held in Vinnytsia, winning teams were chosen. In 5 hours they showed the best results in solving complicated problems in programming. The winners will participate in the finals of ACM-ICPC, which will be held in May 2015 in Morocco.

GlobalLogic encouraged the three winners with nice surprises. The comany sponsored this competition at the earlier stages as well.
