Garage48 is bringing game elements to serious ideas!
Garage48 is coming to Odessa, Ukraine for the second time around to bring game elements into serious ideas! The event is organised in cooperation with Terminal 42 and Estonian Development Cooperation Fund on May 6-8, 2016, at Terminal 42!
Prepare yourself for 48 hours full of fun, coding, designing, selling and thinking BIG! If you’re ready to disrupt the outdated technologies and create something crazy and innovative, then this is the event for you!
The plan is to use game-design elements and game principles in non-game contexts. Gamification commonly employs game elements which are used in serious contexts in attempts to improve user engagement, organizational productivity, flow, learning, employee recruitment and evaluation, ease of use and usefulness of systems, physical exercise, traffic violations, and voter apathy, among others.
During the 48 hours teams consisting of programmers, designers, gamification experts and other cool people will develop creative ideas to working prototypes. The applications and services that will be created should bring a fresh and innovative way of thinking to the sector chosen by you.
We will have exciting prizes, international mentors, good food and everything you need to help you give your best during the weekend. This is your time to go big or go home!
What is Garage48 about?
Garage48 is a weekend long intensive development event to work out new web and mobile applications to bring new startups into life. Garage48 event is a mixture of a hackathon and an exercise from a bootstrapper’s bible.
With origins from Estonia & the Silicon Valley, Garage48 events evolved being the first of its kind events in rapidly developing tech countries: Ukraine, Latvia, Belarus, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya & elsewhere.
