Beetroot Academy’s WordPress program opens for another round of applications!

We are happy to announce that we will run another round of our WordPress program in Poltava.

The first group with graduation in December was a success with all 12 students finishing the program and 75 % already working professionally with WordPress one month later.

Half of the graduates are working with Beetroot Resources (we are now eight employees in Poltava).

The new course, starting Friday 13th of March will offer a program over 4 months (compared to 3 months during the pilot round), focus on the ability and work methodology of building commercial websites in WordPress according to the latest trends in the industry.

The education program has been updated and improved and will offer an even higher level of understanding. Participants will need a base understanding of html and CSS as well as English to start the course. Successfully graduating will make them able to, proudly, call themselves Junior WordPress Developers, being employable for Beetroot Resources and other IT companies.

WordPress is gaining an increasingly dominant position as the world’s most popular CMS for building websites. Becoming a WordPress developer is for young Ukrainians a chance to get a foot into the very perspective IT field, effectively meaning competing on a global work market and entering the middle class. The program will also include an English language education block, led by our very much appreciated teacher Svitlana Emets.

Head WordPress-teacher Alexey Kalyuzhnyi is repeatedly finalist and winner of the Ukrainian Web Challenge and loves sharing his knowledge.

The Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) through the embassy of Sweden in Ukraine has supported the founding of Beetroot Academy.
