GlobalLogic opens a new office in Europe

On June 17, 2014 GlobalLogic announced that it is opening a new engineering center in Slovakia.

The center will be located in the city of Košice, the second largest city in the country, and will be headed up by Ivan Hruska, former president of Ness Europe and an entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of technology experience.

The new center will provide more opportunities for the growth of the company, its customers and global product development. As a member of the EU, and its close proximity to the US and Europe, Slovakia is one of the most rapidly growing economies in Europe and has a strong focus on R&D and innovation in the technology sector.

Additionally, the city of Košice is commonly referred to as “IT Valley” (the Silicon Valley of Europe) with a top engineering talent pool, and has a well-developed education system and workforce that is fluent in English and several other languages.

“We’re expanding our business and continuing to grow the company in key markets around the world,”

said CEO Shashank Samant.
