Topic: “Kubernetes as microservices orchestration tool”

This topic will provide overview of Kubernetes. We will discuss microservices, why do we need them and how Kubernetes helps us manage them. Additionally, you will learn how Kubernetes in used in EPAM.

About speaker: Skilled DevOps and network engineer with experience in design, implementation and maintenance of system infrastructure and networks of national and international levels.

Topic: “Database Performance: AWS vs Baremetal”

This topic will provide detailed performance comparison for SQL Databases running on AWS EC2 instances, AWS RDS instances, and baremetal servers. Additionally we’ll cover the most related AWS DB migration questions.

About speaker: 10 years in Systems engineering and DevOps, mostly worked with Cloud based platforms, Provisioning, Orchestrating and CI/CD processes. For the last 3 years Sergii participated in various kinds of high-load projects, including game development, medical insurance, retail. Sergii has strong expertise in migrating instances and services to AWS, building highly available and reliable infrastructure.
