Unicorn Systems Developed European Solution for Unified Data Publishing

Unicorn Systems has developed ETP Connector, an application to integrate IT systems of European electricity transmission operators with the new ENTSO-E Transparency Platform. ETP Connector consolidates their trading and operational datas and sends them to ENTSO-E Transparency Platform pursuant to the applicable European legislation.

All European operators of electricity transmission systems are obliged to publish information at the new ENTSO-E Transparency Platform. The task of ENTSO-E Transparency Platform is to ensure that the transmission system operators’ publishing duty is met in the extent required by Regulation (EU) No. 543/2013.

ENTSO-E Transparency Platform is a portal providing consolidation and publishing of information within the single European electricity market. The portal was designed and developed by Unicorn Systems. Based on its practical experience and know-how, the company has developed an independent application called ETP Connector for automated submitting and publishing of data from providers to ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.

The first company to successfully deploy ETP Connector was BritNed, which used it to integrate its Kingdom trading platform with ENTSO-E Transparency Platform. Gradually, ETP Connector has been deployed and adopted by other transmission system operators in the European energy market.

Miroslav Hašek, Managing Director, Unicorn Systems Netherlands, says:

“To build a comprehensive publishing solution integrating diverse systems with the pan-European ENTSO-E Transparency Platform is a significant achievement. It further strengthens our leading position in IT solutions for the energy industry.”

Steve Coomber, Commercial Operations Manager at BritNed, adds:

“Unicorn Systems is our long-term supplier of energy trading IT solutions and we are only glad to take our cooperation to a new level. We are happy to expand our successful collaboration with another extension to our existing Kingdom system, ensuring our compliance with the legislative requirements of the European Commission.”
