Ukraine’s Stable Economic Growth Promotes Increased Interest of Foreign Investors

On June 11, 2003 at a meeting with Mykola Azarov, Ukraine`s First Vice-Premier and Finance Minister, Nancy Lee, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Treasury, noted that against the background of a slowdown in global economic growth, there are only a few countries demonstrating such strong growth as Ukraine. Stable economic growth in the 7-percent range attracts foreign investors, and Ukraine should take full advantage of this situation. Investors need to get a clear idea about how profitable investing into the Ukrainian economy can be, as well as about the level of investment protection.

"A very successful placement of Ukrainian eurobonds is a bright example to prove this."
