Assessing IT education quality: Lithuanian experience by Itera

On 9 February 2015 Itera hosted an online meeting at Kyiv office, along with the EBA, leadership of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education in Lithuania (SKVC) and the Ukrainian academic & business IT community.

The purpose of the meeting was to brief managers of IT educational and vocational programs from “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, the National Aviation University, “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” and “Krok” university about pilot launched on the independent professional accreditation of educational IT programs by SKVC methodology in Ukrainian universities.

SKVC operates in compliance with national legislation and European standards and guidelines for quality assurance in higher education ESG ENQA.

Nora Skaburskienė, Director of SKVC and Almantas Šerpatauskas, Head of Division for Study Programme Evaluation told more about their experiences in an online interview.

In addition, the meeting was attended by representatives of IT outsourcing companies – members of the European Business Association (EBA), the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, and Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
