IT Committee is created under aegis of European Business Association

First meeting of the European Business Association IT Committee was held on October 18. Committee was comprised by  IT services representatives of the EBA members. Questions that were discussed included situation in high tech business as well as mission and objectives of IT Committee meetings.

In his introductory speech, EBA Director greeted IT Committee emergence, stressing importance of stabilizing IT market and Programming in Ukraine. One of the EBA IT Committee founders, “Ukrainian Hi-Tech Initiative” coordinator, Victor Maznyuk, informed all participants of the goals, objectives and concept of the Committee meetings.

Immediate attention of the participants – managers of EBA members’ IT departments – was attracted by the report of Microsoft Ukraine representative Eugene Sozans’ky about Microsoft initiatives in development of legal software market in Ukraine. All who were present came to a unanimous agreement that such meetings were useful and decided to hold EBA IT Committee meetings once a month.

Theme of the next meeting is “Capabilities and limitations of employment Open Source solutions into business.”
