Intetics lights up Times Square
On a gloomy Friday morning, Intetics’ bright colors lit up Times Square. The orange banner celebrates the top software product development company’s growth over the past 20 years from a small 5 person team to a company with over 450 employees.
On Friday, December 5th 2014, Intetics’ message was displayed with 19 million LED lights on the 44 foot high and 14 feet wide screen of the NASDAQ MarketSite Tower, which is the physical presence of the NASDAQ stock market.
New York City passersby saw the Intetics banner towering seven stories high over Times Square with an exuberant slogan “Where Software Concepts Come Alive” and a computer-like silhouette of a brain. At the bottom, the purpose of the entire event becomes clear – it reads “Intetics – 20 years of quality software development”.
In January 2015 the company will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The announcement is meant to visualize how far the company has come from its Belarusian roots since its founding in 1995 to becoming one of the fastest growing, award-winning software product development companies.
The broadcast comes after a spectacular year for the company: it has been listed as one of the top 100 outsourcing services companies by IAOP for the eighth year, one of the 500 largest software companies for the past five years, and has been included in the Inc 5000 list seven years in a row – an honor that only about 500 other companies in the US have achieved. Its proprietary business model Remote In-Sourcing has also been recognized as one of the top 100 business innovations in the Chicago area.
It’s a great achievement for any company to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Commercial institutions are a relatively new phenomenon in world history (only 500 years in the Western world) and their average lifespan is surprisingly short. The most turbulent years in a company’s life is its first 10 years, this is the time period with high corporate mortality rate. In fact, as Businessweek writes, in a study by the Stratix Group, the average life expectancy of companies of all sizes is only about 12.5 years.
Celebrating 20 years in business, especially for a company in a fast-paced industry such as information technology and software development, signifies not only high dependability and trustworthiness, but also ability to adapt to the times and to the needs of its clients.
