Intetics at CeBIT 2015: Highlights and summary

In March 2015 Intetics participated in CeBIT 2015 in Hanover, Germany.

This conference is one of the largest conferences of the international IT market.

The five-day long conference showcased products from leading tech companies, achievements of various development teams and the latest technological innovations.

The importance of the event is further highlighted by the fact that each year it is opened by Germany’s Chancellor herself.

The focus of this year’s conference was digitization of the economy. The conference presented many new technologies that will soon dominate the world. For example, Vodafone showed off its new 5G network. This is a very timely revelation, especially as new devices come online with the growth of Internet of Things and network speed and response will be tested like never before. The conference also featured speakers painting the possibilities of an inter-connected world. According to them, the whole world is to come online soon: from cars, to cities, to brainwaves.

While many speakers described the exciting advances of the industry, others also cautioned the audience about the implications of technology advance. For example, Edward Snowden cautioned via a teleconference that security is more important now than ever. He spoke about the possible harms to infrastructure and user privacy if security is not improved — something that Intetics President, Boris Kontsevoi, also wrote about.
