Intersog To Teach iOS and Android Development In Ukraine

One of Chicago Top Mobile Developers 2014 launches own Educational Center in one of its R&D Centers in Ukraine.

Chicago-based provider of web and mobile apps development services, Intersog announced today the launch of Intersog Labs – own IT education project aimed to increase the pool of mobile developers in Odessa, Ukraine.

Intersog Labs will offer iOS and Android development courses to students and people willing to change their profession and move to work in IT industry in Odessa, one of Ukraine’s largest R&D hubs along with Kyiv and Kharkiv.

Each course will have just one class of ten students, and to get enrolled, all applicants will have to pass tests in English and programming basics. Each course will last 3 months and the best achievers will be offered full-time employment at Intersog and an opportunity to work on real mobile development projects.

“Today’s IT education in Ukraine leaves a lot to be desired and lacks alignment with the actual business needs,”
says Yuriy Gorokhov, Head of Software Development at Intersog.
“When we employ IT graduates, we have to spend a lot of time teaching them how to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real life. So, why not nurture own mobile development talent to match our clients’ needs? We’ll give students 70% of practical knowledge versus 30% of theory and employ the brightest ones. Those who won’t get job offers from Intersog will still be able to apply to mobile developer roles with other companies.“

iOS and Android development courses start on 19 January 2015. During 2015 Intersog Labs will expand to provide more courses in web development, UX/UI design and other technologies, and will most likely spread beyond Odessa to Kyiv and Chicago.
