On October 8, GlobalLogic’s office in Lviv opened its doors for everybody who is interested in contemporary technologies.
In a friendly atmosphere the guests learned a lot about the practices of one of the biggest Ukrainian IT companies.
First, the guests were greeted by HR team members Dana Levko and Andriy Dvorchyn, who spoke about the history, mission and values of the company, its educational programs and possibilities of professional development and career at GlobalLogic.
Next, our technical experts went on with acquainting the visitors with the company. They described projects they work on and technologies they use. Oleg Ivanchenko (Associate Manager) told about his projects: an application for Over the Top and Video on Demand service usage, as well as about Instabeat, app for an innovative swimming tracker.
Oleksandr Odukha (Project Manager) led the meeting next. He expressively described the specific features anf the prospects of work in IT, as well as outlined the path from a student to an IT expert, providing hints to help avoid various problems.
Andriy Hyba (Senior Manager), whose team develops routers, and
Yaroslav Dubovyi (Software Engineer), who creates an instrument for graphical user interfaces, told about their projects too. As medical projects hold a special place among GlobalLogic’s expertise branches,
Anastasiia Nizhalovska (Lead Test Engineer) focused on this subject.
Her team currently develops and tests embedded software for a medical device, namely an insulin pump. In the end,
Volodymyr Sadovyy (Senior Manager) shared the experience of work on his project, focusing on pair programming and Test Driven Development.
