GlobalLogic Expert at Linaro Connect in Hong Kong

A few GlobalLogic engineers work at Linaro, an organization that develops open source software for ARM SoCs.

One of them, Grygorii Strashko, has recently spoke at Linaro Connect conference in Hong Kong.

The subject of his presentation was ARM hibernation enablement on SoCs.

Hibernation on ARM devices is a long-wanted feature, with multiple ways of achieving it – in-kernel, fully userspace, or a combination.

Grygorii’s presentation contains a brief overview of these methods and the effort required in enabling in-kernel ARM hibernation to the TI Beagleboard-x15 platform.

There is also a list of the pre-requisites for enabling this on other SoCs.
