EngagePoint to Exhibit and Present at MESC 2014

Engagepoint, a software and services company that provides ingenious solutions for IT modernization, announced that it will be exhibiting, presenting three sessions and moderating five panels at the Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference (MESC) in Denver, Colorado from Aug. 18-21, 2014.

EngagePoint, a sponsor of MESC 2014, has been on the forefront in the design and implementation of Medicaid eligibility systems at the state level.

“MESC brings some of the best minds of the industry together,”

said Pradeep Goel, EngagePoint’s chief executive officer

“We’ve paired modernization talent with Medicaid experts for solutions that provide cost-efficiency and the increased agility MITA (Medicaid Information Technology Architecture) requires. We’re fully prepared to share our insights and experience on how states are coping with enrollment and eligibility challenges, yet still realizing greater cost efficiency and flexibility.”

EngagePoint will present two sessions Tuesday, Aug. 19. “Extending MITA 3.0: Big Data” presented by Pradeep Goel and Tom Baden, chief information officer for Minnesota, will discuss the impact and importance of data in public IT systems and present strategies on effective enterprise data management that protects data ownership and promotes information sharing.

The second Tuesday session, “Think Differently–Custom-Developed Modules with Flexible COTS for MMIS Implementations” led by Todd Schrubb, vice president at EngagePoint, and other state leaders, will discuss how integrating COTS with porous boundaries provide greater flexibility, less integration effort and lower costs.

A third industry session also led by Schrubb will take place Thursday, Aug. 21. “Enrollment 2.0: It’s Time for Eligibility’s Little Brother to Grow Up” will examine the challenges of enrollment and how EngagePoint’s solutions are helping states address those challenges.

“The service enrollment business process can’t be thought of as the final set of eligibility anymore,”

noted Schrubb.

“It needs to be recognized as the critical, separate business function that it is. This session aims to support that and offer ways to help states work through enrollment challenges just in time for the upcoming fall enrollments.”

EngagePoint will also be exhibiting at booths 20-23. There, product specialists will be available to talk about how EngagePoint’s solutions are delivering positive outcomes for states and improving citizens’ access to public service programs. Yesterday, the company unveiled its MMIS service offering, as well as a new partnership with MMIS COTS provider, Aldera.

Annually, MESC (formerly MMIS Conference) brings together thought leaders from the public and private sectors to share ideas and information related to Medicaid systems and initiatives. The four-day conference attracts participants from every level of public service from CIOs to program analysts.
