Archer Software improved standards in conformity with changes to the ISO system

Last year Archer Software was awarded the ISO 9001 certificate of compliance. This year in February we had to improve our standards in conformity with changes to the ISO system.

ISO 9001 belongs to a family of quality management systems standards. It is designed to help organizations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product.

ISO 9000 deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the eight management principles upon which the family of standards is based.

ISO 9001 deals with the requirements that organizations wishing to meet these standards must fulfill.

Third-party certification bodies provide independent confirmation that organizations meet the requirements of ISO 9001. Over one million organizations worldwide are independently certified, making ISO 9001 one of the most widely used management tools in the world today.

The ISO 9001 certificate helps organizations achieve the following objectives:

  • Create confidence in the capability of its processes.
  • Create confidence in the quality of its products.
  • Provide a framework for continuous improvement.
  • Increase the satisfaction of its customers and other stakeholders.
  • Bring success to an organization.

In order to be able to make decisions based on solid evidence, we must:

  • Monitor and measure processes.
  • Record the data collected.
  • Analyze and process the data.

In order to identify and eliminate flaws in organizational structure, we must:

  • Systematically audit our management system.
  • Implement corrective action.
  • Implement preventative actions.

The certifying body conducted an audit of Archer Software, and reported that ours were among the best when compared with other certified organizations.

The inspection body did not recommend any corrective actions be undertaken: we have successfully extended the certificate for another year and proved that our company’s QMS is not just words, but a fully fledged and operational mechanism.
